Role Overview

The BIM Civil Engineer owns end-to-end development of civil and structural BIM/Revit models for data centre and mission-critical facilities, from concept through IFC and as-built stages. The role leads clash detection and coordination with other disciplines and produces coordinated model deliverables.

The position supports fast-track delivery at CTS's São Paulo engineering hub, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End BIM Development: Own end-to-end development of civil/structural BIM/Revit models (foundations, structural frame, site works, drainage), from concept through IFC and as-built stages.
  • Clash Detection & Coordination: Lead clash detection and coordination between civil/structural and other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, architectural) using Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
  • Standards Compliance: Develop and maintain civil/structural model content in line with the project BIM Execution Plan (BEP), LOD requirements, and ISO 19650 standards.
  • Deliverables & Drawings: Produce coordinated civil and structural drawings, grading plans, structural schedules, and model-based deliverables.
  • Interdisciplinary Alignment: Coordinate civil/structural model interfaces with mechanical, electrical, and architectural teams to ensure constructible, clash-free outputs.
  • Geotechnical Integration: Support geotechnical, foundation, and site-development coordination reflected in the model.
  • Submittal Reviews: Review vendor and contractor technical submittals for civil/structural elements reflected in the BIM model.
  • Design & Construction Support: Support integrated design reviews, coordination meetings, and construction-phase activities.
  • Mentorship: Mentor junior BIM modellers on civil/structural content and modelling standards.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline; Master's degree is an advantage.
  • Experience: 5–10 years of experience in BIM/Revit model development and coordination, including exposure to civil or structural design on industrial or data centre projects.
  • Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit Structure, Civil 3D, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or equivalent CDE platforms.
  • Technical Knowledge: Working knowledge of structural and geotechnical design standards as applied within BIM coordination.
  • BIM Frameworks: Solid understanding of ISO 19650, BIM Execution Plans (BEP), and multidisciplinary model coordination.
  • Languages: Advanced or fluent English for collaboration with international teams.
  • Core Competencies: Strong coordination, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation package with performance-based incentives.

  • Meal vouchers and/or food vouchers.

  • Life insurance.

  • Direct collaboration with international colleagues and exposure to high-value global projects.

  • Career path within CTS Group’s global projects and international teams.

  • A dynamic, professional, and inclusive work environment in São Paulo, focused on innovation and excellence.
