Role Overview
Key Responsibilities
-
Strategy & Leadership: Define the BIM/Revit modelling strategy for electrical (LV and ELV) scope across data centre and mission-critical projects.

Technical Sign-Off: Hold technical sign-off authority for electrical BIM model outputs, ensuring accuracy, constructability, and compliance with project standards.

Standards & Governance: Lead multidisciplinary BIM coordination, enforcing modelling standards, BIM Execution Plans (BEP), and ISO 19650 compliance across the electrical scope.

Quality Assurance: Lead model audits and quality assurance, verifying level of detail (LOD), naming standards, and traceability across the electrical model.

Vendor & OEM Coordination: Lead coordination with electrical vendors and OEMs on equipment data and model content for BIM integration.

Design Reviews & Clash Resolution: Oversee design reviews, coordination workshops, and clash resolution for the electrical discipline.

Mentorship & Team Development: Mentor junior and intermediate BIM/electrical engineers and review their model outputs.

Client & Executive Engagement: Liaise with clients and design leadership on BIM strategy, digital workflows, and continuous improvement of electrical modelling processes.
Required Skills and Experience

Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Master's degree preferred.

Experience: 10+ years of experience in BIM/Revit environments, with a strong track record in electrical design and model coordination on mission-critical or data centre projects.

Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or equivalent CDE platforms.

Technical Standards: Strong command of electrical design standards (e.g., IEC 60364, IEC 61439) as applied within BIM coordination and model sign-off.

BIM Governance: Deep knowledge of ISO 19650, BIM Execution Plans (BEP), and multidisciplinary model governance.

Languages: Advanced or fluent English for collaboration with international teams.

Leadership Skills: Proven leadership, mentoring, and client/vendor engagement skills.
