Role Overview
The BIM Mechanical Engineer owns end-to-end development of mechanical (HVAC, cooling, piping) BIM/Revit models for data centre and mission-critical facilities, from concept through IFC and as-built stages. The role leads clash detection and coordination with other disciplines and produces coordinated model deliverables.
The position supports fast-track delivery at CTS's São Paulo engineering hub, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

-
Lead clash detection and coordination between mechanical and other disciplines (electrical, structural, architectural) using Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
-
Develop and maintain mechanical model content in line with the project BIM Execution Plan (BEP), LOD requirements, and ISO 19650 standards.
-
Produce coordinated mechanical drawings, schematics, equipment layouts, schedules, and model-based deliverables.
-
Coordinate mechanical model interfaces with electrical, structural, and architectural teams to ensure constructible, clash-free outputs.
-
Support equipment selection, sizing, and integration of mechanical systems such as chillers, CRAHs, pumps, AHUs, and heat rejection systems within the model.
-
Review vendor and OEM technical submittals for mechanical equipment reflected in the BIM model.
-
Support integrated design reviews, coordination meetings, and commissioning activities.
-
Mentor junior BIM modellers on mechanical content and modelling standards.
Required Skills and Experience
-
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline; Master's an advantage.

5–10 years of experience in BIM/Revit model development and coordination, including exposure to mechanical or HVAC design on industrial or data centre projects.
-
Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or equivalent CDE platforms.
-
Working knowledge of mechanical/HVAC design standards (e.g., ASHRAE) as applied within BIM coordination.
-
Solid understanding of ISO 19650, BIM Execution Plans (BEP), and multidisciplinary model coordination.
-
Advanced or fluent English for collaboration with international teams.
-
Strong coordination, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
