Role Overview
The Electrical Engineer owns the end-to-end design of electrical power distribution and systems for data centre and mission-critical facilities — from concept through IFC to as-built. The role independently performs protection and coordination studies, selects equipment, and leads multidisciplinary coordination.
The position supports fast-track delivery at CTS's São Paulo engineering hub, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities

Own the design of electrical distribution systems: switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, generators, PDUs, busbar systems, and LV/ELV switchboards.
-
Perform protection and coordination studies and arc flash assessments using ETAP or SKM PowerTools.
-
Develop cable sizing, voltage drop, and load-flow calculations to IEC 60364, IEC 61439, and NBR 5410.
-
Develop technical drawings, single-line diagrams, specifications, schedules, and engineering documentation.
-
Lead MEP coordination and clash detection (electrical containment vs. mechanical and structural routing) in Navisworks.
-
Respond to RFIs, review submittals, and approve/release design packages within the assigned scope.
-
Coordinate with generator, UPS, and switchgear vendors on equipment selection and integration.
-
Support integrated testing and commissioning of electrical systems.
-
Mentor junior engineers and review their design deliverables.
Required Skills and Experience
-
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Master's an advantage.
-
5–10 years of experience in electrical design, including exposure to mission-critical/data-centre projects.
-
Strong command of IEC 60364, IEC 61439, and Brazilian electrical standards (NBR 5410, NBR 5419).
-
Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, Revit MEP, Navisworks, plus ETAP or SKM PowerTools for protection/coordination studies.
-
Working knowledge of UPS technologies (Li-ion and VRLA), generator/genset specifications, and switchgear systems.
-
Advanced or fluent English for collaboration with international teams.
-
Strong problem-solving, coordination, and stakeholder-management skills.
What We Offer
-
Competitive compensation package with performance-based incentives.
-
Meal vouchers and/or food vouchers.
